Michael Scaffidi, CPA
Partner & Founder
Mike is a Brookfield native that earned his undergraduate and Master’s degrees from UW- Milwaukee. He then obtained his CPA license before joining Deloitte upon graduation.
At Deloitte, he focused on high-net-worth individuals, small business, foundations, and trust tax. From there, he joined Uline where he served as the head of their tax department, managing both the business and family office (shareholders, foundations, trusts, etc.) tax returns.
Mike left Uline in January 2022 to team with Eric to help serve the growing client base, and the two founded Elmbrook CPAs & Advisors.
Mike is married to his wife Jessica and they are blessed with three little girls. During his free time, he is an avid Bucks fan, enjoys spending time up north with family and being a “girl dad”.
Eric is an entrepreneur and went into practice for himself in 2020 before teaming up with Mike to establish Elmbrook CPAs & Advisors. Eric is originally from Greendale, WI and received his undergraduate degree from Illinois State University where he played football.
Eric interned with Mike at Deloitte in 2012 and then served as a CPA with Deloitte supporting the tax and accounting needs of privately held businesses, high-net-worth families, and real estate concerns. After Deloitte, Eric joined Phoenix Investors as Tax Director (commercial real estate family office) before he decided to venture out on his own. A real estate investor himself, Eric specializes in working with real estate owners and investors on tax minimization strategies.
Eric and his wife Jordan live in Brookfield. They are blessed with two little boys and another child on the way. Outside of the office, Eric enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, golfing, playing basketball, and anything in the great outdoors.

Franklin Wistl
Senior Tax Associate
Franklin worked with Mike and Eric during his time at Deloitte and serves our team as a seasonal Senior Tax Associate. Franklin earned his undergraduate degree in accounting and finance from UW-Whitewater.
During his free time, Franklin enjoys running his family sod farm in New Berlin just down the street from our office, weightlifting (part of the 1,000 lb. club) and traveling between busy seasons.
