Michael Scaffidi
CPA & Partner
Mike, a Brookfield native, earned both his undergraduate and master’s degrees from UW–Milwaukee, obtained his CPA, and began his career at Deloitte working with high-net-worth individuals and small businesses. He later became the head of Uline’s tax department before leaving in 2022 to co-found Elmbrook CPAs & Advisors with Eric. Mike is married to Jessica, has three daughters, and enjoys cheering on the Bucks and spending time up north with his family.
Eric Brunner
CPA & Partner
Eric earned bachelors degrees in accounting and finance from Illinois State University, and began his career at Deloitte supporting privately held businesses and high-net-worth families. After serving as Tax Director at Phoenix Investors, he started his own practice in 2020 before teaming up with Mike to establish Elmbrook CPAs & Advisors. Eric and his wife Jordan live in Brookfield with their three sons. When not at the office, he enjoys traveling with family and staying involved in his church.
Franklin Wistl
Senior Tax Associate
Franklin worked with Mike and Eric during his time at Deloitte and serves our team as a seasonal Senior Tax Associate. Franklin earned his undergraduate degree in accounting and finance from UW-Whitewater. During his free time, Franklin enjoys running his family sod farm in New Berlin just down the street from our office, weightlifting (part of the 1,000 lb. club) and traveling between busy seasons
